Lucknow: In a see-saw political battle in Uttar Pradesh (UP), now the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced to stage a state-wide protest on Saturday against Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) General Secretary Naseemuddin Siddiqui for his objectionable remark on daughter of sacked BJP leader Dayashankar Singh.

The state BJP spokesman, Vijay Bahadur Pathak said that party units across the state have been asked to stage a protest and give memorandum to Governor with demand of action on Naseemuddin Siddiqui and ‎Bahujan Samaj Party workers for their derogatory remark against the daughter and wife of expelled Singh.

“Siddiqui said Dayashankar Singh’s daughter should be presented before the crowd. This is an insult to the woman. We condemn Mayawati’s justification of it. BJP demands that she offer an unconditional apology and take action against Siddiqui," said Pathak.

He said that party workers have been asked to sit on a silent protest without breaching the law and order boundaries.

Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered against BSP supremo Mayawati and senior party leaders in connection with the deprecatory remarks made by party workers against the female family members of expelled BJP leader Dayashankar Singh.

The Hazratganj police have registered the FIR on the complaint of Tetra Devi, mother of Dayashankar Singh, under section 120-B, 153-A, 504, 505 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) while the crime number of FIR is 458/16.
