Lucknow: It is said that the share market and the bureaucracy sense the mood of political swing beforehand. How the bureaucracy adapts to the political mood became evident when an over-enthusiastic District Magistrate of Pilibhit Sheetal Verma was seen wearing the 'bhagwa' saree during visit of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently.

The CM, always bhagwa clad, and the Bharatiya Janata Party MLA wearing the saffron is understandable but an officer, in order to please the political master, switching to this has turned into a news item.

What is more surprising that the bureaucratic functioning of the state has lately been under questions but the prompt implementation of colour scheme invites some curious observations all round the state.

It may be recalled that the Yogi government has ordered official buildings, notice boards and even the milestones to be painted by 'Bhagwa' colour. This order , however, does not apply to colours of the dress of officials.

May be the DM of Pilibhit went a step further anticipating such order coming. On the face of it, it looked more funny than anything else.
