Rampur: Making light of BJP's poll promises and subsequent claims, Samajwadi Party leader Mohammad Azam Khan said that he will promptly join the saffron party if it fulfills assurances of providing employment and crediting everyone’s account with Rs 20 lakh.

Accusing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of luring the people and winning the elections on false promises, the senior Uttar Pradesh minister ridiculed the former for misguiding all. "Even I will join BJP if it keeps its words," he challenged.

Dubbing Congress as a sick party, Azam Khan said;

  • Mocking at Congress for pitching Sheila Dikshit as CM candidate in UP, he described her and the party as sick.
  • 'Shiela's family has threatened Sonia Gandhi to file a case under section 302 if something happens to her', he jokingly remarked.
  • Congress does not have any capable candidate, booth personnel or agents.
  • Congress is sick and needs treatment.

Kairana exodus controversy was creation of BJP to take political mileage in 2017 Vidhan Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, Azam alleged.

Launching attack on Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), he said that the organization was not in the favour of independence and supported Britishers.

He also voiced his opinion regarding Kashmir and said that the state belongs to India.
