Rampur/Moradabad: Congress’ Uttar Pradesh in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad on Sunday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi for being silent while the valley was struck by violence for more than two weeks.

"The Jammu and Kashmir is reeling under violence and look at our Prime Minister Narenadra Modi, he has not spoken any word on this issue," Azad said when the three-day long bus rally of ’27 saal UP behaal’ rally reached Rampur from New Delhi.

Congress chief ministerial candidate for Uttar Pradesh Ghulam Nabi Azad was not present in the rally.

Clarifying the issue of Rahul Gandhi meeting the fake Dalit woman, Azad said a reply has been sought from the Gujarat congress on the issue.

Also present on the occasion Congress UP chief Raj Babbar appealed Priyanka Gandhi to campaign for the party.

Babbar also deplored the episode of derogatory slurs levelled by the supporters of Bharatiya Janata Party and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
