Kanpur: Recalling the Muzaffarnagar riots that took place in year 2013, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi, compared the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that birds of same feather flock together.

Owaisi, while addressing a gathering here on Thursday said that PM Modi and Akhilesh Yadav are similar and they both do not deserve to be in power.

"Narendra Modi, the then CM of Gujarat, did not perform his duty during the 2002 riots and the same was done by the UP CM in Muzaffarnagar," the AIMIM chief stated.

What else he said:

Attacking PM Modi--

  • He is promoting secularism in the country.
  • I am not against any religion. I want everyone to get their rights as have been described in the constitution of the country.
  • Ministers who are associated with Babri demolition are serving as the senior ministers in the Central cabinet of PM Modi.
  • Murli Manohar Joshi was allegedly involved in Babri Masjid demolition case and Modi government gave them Padma Vibhushan.
  • Demonetisation decision was a big failure. It has created problems for every poor household of the country.

Attacking Akhilesh yadav--

  • The UP CM had promised reservation to the minority classes in 2012 elections but it remained only in the manifesto.
  • Only Yadav family was benefited during SP rule. Every family member is now a Lok Sabha member.

Akhilesh's Kaam Bolta Hai is a big lie.

  • When National Highway Authority builds a road of One kilometre, it costs rupees 11 crore but the 302 km road that the UP CM flaunts costed to rupees 44 crore per kilometre.
  • The government who could not do justice with women during their rule has now promised to distribute pressure cookers to them.
