Srinagar: Two army jawans, three security personnel have lost their lives and few others injured in a terrorist attack on Wednesday at Khawajabagh in Baramulla district of Kashmir.

Terrorists have attacked an army convoy in the late night hours.

The attack took place at 02:30 am, said police official.

Injured security men have been admitted to the nearby hospital.

“One policeman was also killed while another cop was injured as their vehicle also came under attack by the militants,” said reports.

Army has launched a search operation for the terrorists who succeeded in escaping.

On Wednesday, General Dalbir Singh Suhag will visit Kashmir to review security situations.

Kashmir valley, however, is facing unrest after the encounter killing of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani by the Indian Army.
