Lucknow: In a stunning political development, MLC Ambika Chaudhary resigned from Legislative Council on Wednesday.

He won the election of MLC from Samajwadi Party but did not resign when he joined Bahujan Samaj Party.

Talking to newstrack.com, Ambika Chaudhary said he will remain loyal to Bahujan Samaj Party and no political speculation should be made regarding his resignation.

"I was elected on the ticket of SP to the council. Now, I have joined BSP. This is a resignation given on pure technical reasons as I do not want to get involve in the pity fight for any post and anti-defection issues," Ambika told newstrack.com.

"I would have tendered my resignation earlier but political conditions did not allow. I have talked about the resignation to my party leadership. I am in BSP and will remain in the party no political speculations should be linked with the resignation," he added.
