Alld HC issues bailable warrant against UP minister Azam Khan

Lucknow: Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court on Wednesday issued bail able warrant against Uttar Pradesh senior cabinet minister Azam Khan in a service matter.

A division bench comprised of Justices Sudhir Agarwala and RN Mishra passed the order on a service petition filed by UP Jal Nigam in 2013. The warrant has been issued against Azam in his capacity of Chairman Jal Nigam.

The matter is related to a departmental inquiry against assistant engineer DK Singh. Azam Khan and the petitioners have been asked to appear in the court after a petition was filed challenging the order of departmental inquiry by a tribunal.

The next hearing is on March 6.
