Allahabad: The Allahabad district administration on Saturday ordered a probe against a school which has prohibited reciting national anthem since the last 12 years.

The incident came to light when eight teachers of the school resigned together from the school.

The teachers argued that reciting national anthem was their constitutional right.

What school manager says:

School manager said he was against the use of word ‘Bharat’ in the line—Bharat Bhagya Vidhata.

The school will not allow the recitation until and unless these lines are removed from the national anthem.

The stand of district administration:

The district administration has ordered an enquiry into the matter and said to take appropriate action once the investigation is completed, said Basic Siksha Adhikari Raj Karan.

Arguments of the school manager:

The school is owned by one Jiya-Ul-Haq and he says that reciting word Bharat is against the principles of Islam as no other than Allah can decide anyone’s fate.

School is not recognised by the government:

In the primary investigation it has come to light that the school was not affiliated by the government.
