Alld HC issues notice to Centre, UP govt over Dadri lynching

Allahabad: The Allahabad High court on Tuesday has asked the Central and Uttar Pradesh government to file a counter affidavit within a month against a petition demanding CBI probe in Akhlaq lynching case of Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh.

The order was passed by the bench comprising Justice B K Narayan and Justice N A Munish on the petition filed by Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sanjay singh .

Singh in his petition alleged that UP Police was not investigating the matter fairly and due to political rivalry and was trying to implicate him in the matter falsely.

Akhlaq was lynched by an outraged mob on allegations of keeping beef in his house.
