10 women including five minors killed in road accident in UP

Saharanpur: In a horrific road accident, as many as ten women, including five minors, were killed and 17 others were injured after a speeding tractor-trolley upended near Chalakpur village in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur district on Sunday.

“The injured persons were rushed to a local hospital and more than 10 of them were in a serious condition,” said Station Officer (Chiliyan) Bhupendra Singh.

It may be mentioned that the group of women was returning from a function at Sullapur to Sahajwa when the accident took place in the evening hours.

Senior district and police officials rushed to the spot and undertook a rescue operation.
