New Delhi: Many states of the country are getting cold. Due to snowfall in the mountains, the cold is increasing. In the coming days, icy winds and cold will increase. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the cold will continue in the coming days.

Winter Season in North India:

The IMD has said that in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh, Western UP and Bihar, there will be cold winters in the coming days and cold wave will occur during this period.

According to the Meteorological Department, there was a slight improvement in the cold in Kashmir, as a slight rise in the minimum temperature recorded. The Meteorological Department has predicted light snowfall for two days from Saturday. After the snowfall, there will be more cold in the plains.

The Meteorological Department has said that cold wave conditions are expected in Delhi for the next two days and the temperature is expected to go up to three degrees Celsius on Friday. The department said that during this period 'moderate to dense' fog may remain.

Cold wave in Punjab:

The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of strong cold wave in some areas of Punjab, Chandigarh and Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh. Cold can occur in some areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh in the coming days in Bihar. Apart from this, IMD has predicted dense fog in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi.

The IMD has expressed the possibility that in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan and Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab may be brought up in the coming days. Along with this, frost can also be seen in Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
