Lucknow: Monsoon will also soak in its last phase. Monsoon will return this week, but before that, there is a possibility of above normal rainfall in some states. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain in South Indian states for the next three days.

Rain alert in North India:

There is a possibility of rain in some states of North India including Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu. According to the Meteorological Department, it may rain clouds in the national capital Delhi as well. The Meteorological Department has issued red and orange alerts for some areas regarding rain. In view of the rain in Idukki district of Kerala, a red alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department.

At the same time, according to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Palakkad and Malappuram districts.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are possible over most parts of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep. Along with rain, there is also a possibility of thunderstorms. In view of the possibility of rain, many guidelines have also been issued for the people living in these areas.

At the same time, according to the Meteorological Department, there will be rain in many other places including Bahjoi, Sahaswan, Kasganj, Ganjdundwara, Etah, Khurja, Gabana in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday morning. Apart from this, light to moderate intensity rain may occur over Shamli, Kandhla, Badaun, Firozabad and adjoining areas.

Flood like situation in Bengal:

Due to sudden release of water by Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) and incessant rains, a flood-like situation has arisen in six districts of West Bengal. These districts include West and East Burdwan, Bankura, Birbhum, Hooghly and Howrah. The situation in the state became so critical that the Army and NDRF had to be called in for help.
