New Delhi: The cyclonic storm 'Yaas', which has risen from the Bay of Bengal, is wreaking havoc continuously. After Bengal and Odisha, this storm caused havoc in Jharkhand on the previous day. Life has been disturbed by the rain.

Heavy Rain in Bihar:

Now 'Yaas' is moving from southeast to northwest direction in Bihar. It has changed into a low pressure area as soon as it enters Bihar. Due to the storm, there is heavy rainfall in Bihar. For the next two days, heavy wind and heavy rain are expected in East and South Bihar.

IMD alert in UP:

According to the Meteorological Department, the storm is weakening in Bihar, due to which there is no possibility of much loss of life and property. The storm will weaken and move slowly towards East UP. It is believed that this storm will reach eastern Uttar Pradesh today. By then its intensity will be significantly weakened.

According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of this storm will remain in many states including UP, Bihar and Jharkhand till May 30. During this period, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and lightning.

Along with these states, heavy rain alert has been issued in many states of the country. IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra said that heavy rains are also expected in West Bengal and Sikkim. At the same time, alert is still going on with rain in Jharkhand. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the storm, the weather will remain the same for the next three-four days. Therefore, the district administration has appealed people not to move out of home unnecessarily.

Rain Alert in North India:

According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain may occur in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Kerala as well due to this storm. Light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells may occur over North East India, Lakshadweep and parts of Central Uttar Pradesh. Moderate rain is expected at one or two places with light rain in parts of Andhra Pradesh, southwest Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
