New Delhi: Today, rain and thunderstorms have been forecast in many parts of the country including North India. Due to western disturbances, there is a possibility of rain in many parts of northern India.

Rain alert in Delhi-NCR:

In the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain accompanied by dust storm and hailstorm are expected at one or two places in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and parts of Rajasthan. West Bengal, Odisha, parts of Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Kerala and parts of Lakshadweep may receive light to moderate rains with heavy to very heavy rainfall at some places.

IMD alert in Jammu Kashmir:

Light to moderate rains are expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, parts of Karnataka, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and parts of Tripura, Jharkhand. Light to moderate rains may occur over North and East Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Thunderstorm in North India:

Mahesh Palawat, vice-president of Skymet Weather, said the western disturbance has gone east of Ladakh. Another western disturbance can be seen over eastern parts of Iran and adjoining Afghanistan. At the same time, there is a cyclonic circulation over Vidarbha and adjoining areas. Apart from this, a cyclonic circulation is also formed in the central parts of the equatorial Indian Ocean and South Arabian Sea. Due to this, the weather has changed in most of the states of the country.

A similar weather is expected to continue in many parts of the country, including northern India, for the next three days. Due to western disturbances, the weather will be a relief this week too. Temperatures will be below normal while dusty thunderstorms will also be expected. Often these days the hot air pats were disturbing, but so far this year there is relief from the heat stroke.
