Weather Update: Increase in temperature, IMD issues heatwave alert in Delhi-NCR, Jaipur

According to the Meteorological Department, the increasing effect of heat will be seen in the next five days in Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat.

Weather Update: This year the heat has broken all the previous records. Since March, the country is witnessing a severe heat wave. In many areas of North India, including the capital Delhi, the heat has started to release sweat. It has become difficult even to leave the house in the afternoon. Heat waves have started blowing in Uttar Pradesh too. At present, the maximum temperature has crossed 40 degree Celsius in many areas of the country.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the same trend of heat is going to continue on Monday in North India including the national capital Delhi. On March 28 also, the minimum temperature in Delhi is expected to be two-three degrees above normal. IMD has predicted that while light rain will continue in Northeast India in the coming 4-5 days, a warning of heat waves and heat wave has been issued in Northwest, Central and West India. According to the Meteorological Department, the increasing effect of heat will be seen in the next five days in Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and the hill states of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Heat wave conditions are forecast in all these states. Whereas, there is no chance of rain.

Talking about Central India, there is a severe heat in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat too. In Maharashtra, the mercury has started reaching 42 degree Celsius in Marathwada and Vidarbha. Whereas, in some parts of West Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh, the temperature has reached near 40 to 41 degree Celsius. Similarly, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal are also recording maximum temperatures by 4 degrees above normal.

The time of cold winds coming from the mountains has also started coming to an end, so now there is no possibility of getting relief from that direction also. Although there is a slight coolness in the morning winds in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, but now that too is going to subside soon.
