Weather Update: IMD issues red alert for this week, heavy rain in Delhi-NCR, Haryana

New Delhi: It is raining heavily in many parts of the country including Delhi-NCR. Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Delhi, Madhya Maharashtra, East Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Puducherry, Kerala and Mahe have received heavy rains for the last one or two days.

IMD issues rain alert:

The situation is expected to remain the same in the coming days as well. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be rain in many states of the country in the coming four-five days. Regarding this, the department has also issued an alert for many states.

The department has predicted that there may be heavy rains in states like Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Odisha. Apart from this, heavy to very heavy rain is expected in Konkan, Goa, Gujarat, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha in the next 4-5 days. At the same time, there has been a warning of rain in Delhi for the next seven days.

Today, there is a possibility of rain or thundershower at many places in western Uttar Pradesh and also at some places in eastern zone. Apart from this, there may be rain and thunder at some places of UP on Tuesday as well.

Rain expected in Delhi for next seven days:

The Meteorological Department has predicted that there will be rain in Delhi-NCR for the next seven days. According to the IMD, light rain from Monday to Wednesday, while it may rain from Thursday to Saturday. There is less chance of sunshine here today and the department says that on Monday it will be cloudy and there may be light rain.

On the other hand, Tuesday will be sunny. After this the weather will change again from Wednesday and it will rain for four days. At the same time, on Sunday also, the weather remained clear in Delhi-NCR till afternoon and after that till late evening, light to heavy rains were recorded at many places.
