Weather Update: IMD issues heavy rain alert in Lakshadweep & Karnataka

New Delhi: According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), moderate to heavy rainfall in Lakshadweep in the next 24 hours. Apart from this, rain is very likely at many places over Interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema, parts of Telangana and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Clouds will continue to move in the sky. At the same time, there is a forecast of lightning, wind and moderate rain in Goa for the next 24 hours.

Weather Forecast:

On November 30, moderate to heavy rain is expected in many parts of Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan and Goa. Whereas, heavy rainfall is forecast in many parts of Gujarat like Bharuch, Tapi, Narmada, Surat etc. It is also going to rain in Saurashtra, Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The effect of changing weather is also being seen in some parts of Madhya Pradesh. Bhopal, Ratlam, Mandsaur and Ujjain may also receive drizzle at some places. The weather will be mainly clear and dry over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha.

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is no chance of rain in Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Northeast states in the next 24 hours. The weather here will be clear and dry. The weather will remain dry over eastern and western parts of Uttar Pradesh as well. But some clouds can be seen at isolated places in Lucknow, Kanpur, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur and Jhansi etc.

In western Uttar Pradesh, the weather will remain clear and dry in Meerut, Agra, Aligarh, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Bulandshahr, Baghpat, Gautam Budh Nagar. Similarly, in the next 24 hours, the weather will remain the same in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.

Rain in Himachal:

Due to the wind coming from the western directions, the process of drop in temperature can stop. The level of pollution will increase and the effect of fog will also be seen. In mountainous areas, the humidity that comes with the air can possibly cause clouds. There is a chance of light rain in Gilgit, Baltistan, Ladakh. The weather over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will remain dry. Snowfall has not occurred in these areas yet but it is likely to happen soon i.e. in the first week of December.
