Weather Today: Heatwave is wreaking havoc in most parts of the country. These situations are when the month of April has not even started yet. In many parts of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, including the national capital Delhi, people are battling the scorching heat. In many districts of these states, the mercury has already crossed 40 degree Celsius.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature is likely to increase over a large part of the country for the coming few days. Heat waves are continuing to blow over North India for the last few days. According to IMD, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Odisha are the states where temperatures are being recorded above normal. One of the major reasons for this is the humidity in the atmosphere, due to which the weather is getting warmer.

Sunday was a very hot day in the capital Delhi. The minimum temperature in the city was recorded around 5 degrees Celsius above normal. In the coming days also, Delhiites are not expected to get relief from the heat at the moment. Here the minimum and maximum temperatures will only increase further in the next one week.
