New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the world's largest vaccine maker Serum Institute of India on Saturday. With this, they have learned about the Corona vaccine being made. After this, CEO Adar Poonawalla from Serum Institute of India held a press conference on Saturday evening. He announced that the corona vaccine is coming soon.

Emergency permission to use covishield:

Adar Poonawala said that covishield's trial results have been very good. Poonawala also informed that the company will soon apply for permission to use covishield in emergency. It has become clear that the vaccine is in advanced stage.

He said that we are preparing to apply for permission for use in Covishield's emergency in the next 2 weeks. Giving information about this, Poonawala said that the results of Covishield trial have been very good.

Regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Serum Institute, the Head of Serum Institute said that there was a detailed discussion with PM Modi on the vaccine. He informed that Serum Institute has built the largest plant in Pune and a new campus in Mandari. Poonawalla said that PM now has a lot of knowledge about vaccine and vaccine production. He said that it was a surprising moment that he already knew a lot. They had to give detailed information about very few things.

Poonawala said that till now the Government of India has not told anything in writing how much dose will be purchased from us, but there are indications that by July 2021, 30-40 million doses can be purchased.
