Bihar is also linked to Vyapam scam, CBI making probe

Muzaffarpur (Bihar): The Vyapam scam is not confined to Madhya Pradesh. It had spread its tentacle to as far as Bihar. More than 5000 medical students of the state are found to have been involved in the racket out of which over 100 belong to a medical college located here, official sources confirmed on Friday.

The Central Bureau of Investigation which is probing the case is looking for all these students for interrogation and identification of those who could be possibly involved in the racket which had shaken the education and employment fields in the country three years ago.

These students had been provided codes by the officials in command for assistance and maintaining secrecy. Separate codes were given for separate institution. The disclosure was made by a letter received by Superintendent of police R K Das by an anonymous person.

The investigating agency has already collected photos and signatures of over 100 students who were admitted to different medical colleges.

Officials of the agency have also visited some other institutions and collected information in connection with the admission racket. They were admitted without proper merit or qualification.
