Vadodara: Fire breaks out at crackers shop; eight dead

Vadodara: Massive fire breaks at a fireworks shop here on Friday leaving at least eight people dead and several others injured.

Nearby shops and homes were gutted in the fire that broke out at a shop in the Rustampura village of Vaghodia area.

Senior Police officer Saurabh Tolumbia said, "Police and fire brigade rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. We have pulled out eight bodies from the site."

Several fire tender vehicles have reached the spot and are trying to douse the flames. Rescue operations have been underway.
