Mumbai: Underworld Dawood Ibrahim, who is hiding in Pakistan for over two decades now, is very afraid after Amit Shah became the Home Minister, claims sources from Intelligence agencies.

Sources said Modi's historic win in the 2019 LS Polls had left Dawood and his aides completely rattled but now they have become even more scared after Shah's took charge of the Home Ministry. The D-Company fears that Shah could initiate action against them.

As per reports, the fugitive don is fearful of the fact that PM Modi-Shah duo would do anything to bring him back to India.

Intelligence sources further said that Dawood's close aide Chhota Shakeel recently carried out a meeting with the operatives of the D-company at an undisclosed location.

He also had an internet-based conference call with the operatives across the world and directed them to remain alert. It is believed that Chhota Shakeel also chalked out a strategy in the meeting.

He reportedly told senior ISI officials that Indian security agencies would definitely launch operations to take him out from Pakistan. It is believed that the ISI has assured Dawood that it would soon hold a meeting to discuss the issue.

Initiating action against Dawood and his D-Company, the Modi government seized several illegal properties of Dawood in the last five years. Dawood's brother Iqbal Kaskar was also brought back to India during Modi's first regime.

Sources said that after succeeding in getting Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist by the UN, the Modi government would now go after Dawood Ibrahim.
