During a hearing in the Delhi High Court on July 8, Twitter, which is facing a standoff with the central government over the new IT rules, told the court that it has appointed an interim chief compliance officer, who is a resident of India. At the same time, he had also said that he (Twitter) would try to appoint a regular officer for the post in eight weeks as per the rules.
