TN:Rajinikanth and R Ashwin to create awareness about voting

Chennai: The Election Commission in Tamil Nadu is trying to ensure that everyone takes part in the voting process during the elections.

Rajesh Lakhani, the Chief Election Officer of Tamil Nadu said many celebrities had been involved in in the campaign to ensure higher voting. A video had already been shot with actress Nayanthara, which will be released soon.

The Election Commission was keen on having superstar Rajinikanth as part of this public awareness exercise. He said that they had approached the actor already for this purpose.

Two other celebrities who are part of this public awareness campaign are actor Karthi and cricketer R Ashwin. Both of them have already shot for videos.

The video featuring Ashwin went viral a few days ago on social media. In the video, he is seen telling youngsters to check if their names are on the electoral rolls instead of arguing whether Dhoni or Kohli is the better captain.
