New Delhi: Due to cyclonic storm 'Tauktae', there has been rain in Mumbai since last night at 11 o'clock. BMC said that the rainfall recorded was 8.37 mm in Mumbai city, 6.53 mm in east suburbs and 3.92 mm in west suburbs. Information has been given by BMC that the incident of falling of trees has come to light in 34 places but no accident has taken place.

Cyclone Tauktae reaches Gujarat:

The impact of cyclonic storm 'Tauktae' has started appearing over South Gujarat. Trees have fallen in many places due to strong winds. It is reported that one person died on the spot due to falling of trees in Kamrej tehsil. The work of removing the fallen trees on the road has been started.

Alert issued in Gujarat:

In view of the powerful storm 'Tauktae', an alert has been issued in Gujarat and Maharashtra. Meanwhile, Port, Shipping and Waterways Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Sunday reviewed the preparations of the board of ports and maritime zones in all the states in the western coastal areas of the country.

Continuous rain in Mumbai:

Due to cyclonic storm 'Tauktae', rain continues with strong winds in Wadala area of Mumbai.

So far, 11 people have died in 5 states due to cyclone 'Tauktae' from the Arabian Sea. Around 1.5 lakh people are being shifted from the coastal areas of Gujarat. The storm may hit Gujarat coast between Porbandar and Mahuva (Bhavnagar) on Tuesday morning. During this time, the speed of the storm can be up to 185 kilometers per hour.

NDRF teams deployed in Gujarat:

National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) director general SN Pradhan has told that more than 100 teams of NDRF have been deployed in 7 districts. The biggest impact of the storm can be seen on Gujarat, so 50 teams are deployed in Gujarat alone.
