Chennai: A recent post by Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam on Saturday created short political flutter at an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in future.

The senior All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) leader posted on Twitter that a decision on party's alliance with BJP will be taken after local elections.

He, however, soon after realising his mistake about predicting about the step too early, clarified his decision with a tweet stating, "We mean that only after the announcement of local body elections, we will think about the alliance with any political party."

The leader also removed the tweet posted earlier.

His tweets came a day after the former Tamil Nadu chief minister met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital and discussed political crisis going on in the AIADMK.
