Kanpur Derailment: Suresh Prabhu monitors rescue, relief operations

Kanpur: Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu visited the accident spot where 14 coaches of Patna-Indore Express was derailed in wee hours of Sunday.

Prabhu said that government's priority was to rescue and provide relief to people injured and open the Kanpur-Jhansi track for smooth commuting of trains.

Prabhu also said that a high level commission has been constituted and it has started investigation into the accident.

Suresh Prabhu also visited mortuary in Akbarpur. He met state official and instructed them for early identification of all dead bodies.
