Supreme Court asks Centre to find possibilities of 4G Internet in J&K

The matter demanding 4G in Jammu and Kashmir was heard in the Supreme Court on Friday. The court questioned the possibility of commissioning of 4G internet in any part of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

New Delhi: The matter demanding 4G in Jammu and Kashmir was heard in the Supreme Court on Friday. The court questioned the possibility of commissioning of 4G internet in any part of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said, "The Governor has changed there, will take instructions and inform him." The court, while denying the possibility of delay in the case, said that it cannot be delayed. The case will be next heard on Tuesday.

Internet speed has been disrupted there for the last one year in J&K. To this, the central government has responded that it has been done for security reasons. The court stated that a long time had passed. There should be no delay in hearing on this matter.

What Court says?

The court further said that former Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu had given statements regarding the restoration of the internet, stating that there was no problem in starting the 4G service of the Internet. But now the new Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has come there.

Therefore, their opinion will be taken for the start of this service. In view of the covid-19, most of the work is being done through the Internet, but due to the 2G speed of internet in Jammu and Kashmir, there is not enough speed.

The Jammu Kashmir Private School Association appealed to the court to restore 4G internet service. In his appeal, he has said that only 2G internet service business and online education of children are facing problems in Kashmir.
