'Subhash Chandra Bose was not bound by the comfort zone', PM Modi says on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's birth anniversary
Modi said, 'Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was not bound by the comfort zone. Similarly, today we all have to get out of our comfort zone to build a developed India. We have to make ourselves the best in the world and choose excellence, focus on efficiency.'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday called upon the people to remain united to fulfill the resolve of 'developed India' and also warned them against the forces trying to weaken the country and break its unity.
Addressing the Parakram Diwas program organized in Cuttack, Odisha on the occasion of the birth anniversary of great freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose through a video message, PM Modi said that Netaji's life is a constant source of inspiration for the people. He chose to leave the comfort zone and preferred to fight for the country's independence.
Modi said, 'Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was not bound by the comfort zone. Similarly, today we all have to get out of our comfort zone to build a developed India. We have to make ourselves the best in the world and choose excellence, focus on efficiency.'
Modi said that Netaji formed the Azad Hind Fauj for the independence of the country and it included people from every region and every section of the country, whose languages were different, but the sentiment was one and that was the independence of the country. He said, 'This unity is a great lesson for developed India today. Then we had to be united for Swaraj, today we have to remain united for developed India.' He said, 'We have to be cautious of those who want to weaken the country and break its unity.'
The Prime Minister mentioned many decisions including naming islands after Bose in Andaman, installation of his statue at India Gate and celebrating his birth anniversary as 'Parakram Diwas' and said that Netaji used to be very proud of India's heritage. Modi said that the fast pace of development goes hand in hand with the progress of the people, strength of the armed forces and overall development. In the last decade, 25 crore Indians have been lifted out of poverty which is a huge success.
Modi said, today be it village or city, modern infrastructure is being built everywhere and along with that the strength of India's army has also increased unprecedentedly. India's role is increasing on the world stage and India's voice is getting louder. The day is not far when India will become the third largest economic power in the world. We have to keep working continuously for a developed India with 'one aim, one goal' inspired by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
