NEW DELHI: Many states of the country are freezing. The weather may change once again in North India between cold and cold wave. The Meteorological Department has said that it may rain here in the next two days. Many areas of North India are experiencing a freezing cold.

Night temperatures have been recorded below five degrees Celsius in some places. The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of changing the wind direction in Delhi in the next two days and the temperature may also increase.

Rain Alert in winters:

The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert on January 19 in areas around Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Earlier too, rain was recorded in many areas.

Fog and bitter cold in Delhi:

Due to the icy winds from the mountains, there is cold wave and frost with fog. Apart from Delhi, weather in Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh is too cold. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain with fog in the capital Delhi. Similar weather is expected in Delhi till 22 January.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Delhi can remain at 17 and the minimum at eight degrees. On January 19, the temperature will increase further. From January 20, the cold will start rising once again. Icy winds will persecute people for two to three days. In January, the plains are being rained along with snowfall in the mountains.

So Bihar's capital Patna is getting very cold and the temperature is 7 degrees on Monday. The people here have no hope of getting rid of the cold. The Meteorological Department has said that the same conditions will continue for the next 48 hours. Cold winds will blow.
