New Delhi: Congress chief Sonia Gandhi was discharged from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital of national capital on Sunday morning. She had been undergoing treatment for over 10 days after taking ill during a roadshow in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh on August 2 last.

Gandhi had to cut short her roadshow and was admitted to Army Research and Referral Hospital in New Delhi with complaints of fever, dehydration and a shoulder injury, said party sources. Gandhi was shifted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital soon after she was detected with shoulder injury.

The doctors said that the Gandhi’s health is stable but she has been advised rest and continuation of medicines. “Mrs Gandhi is likely to visit the hospital for further evaluation of her condition in the coming week," said a top doctor at the hospital.
