New Delhi: Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia along with 64 other Aam Aadmi Party Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) was prevented from staging demonstration at the Prime Minister’s residence at 7 Race Course Road in the national capital on Sunday. They were stopped and detained by the police while en route to the PM’s house.

The dispute between the state government and the Centre ignited on Sunday after Sisodia dared the Prime Minister to get him apprehended on the charges of intimidating the businessmen of Ghazipur Vegetable Market Association.

“We want to ask Modi not to stop work in Delhi. Why is he taking revenge on Delhi? If he has personal enmity with me, I’m ready to get arrested,” said Sisodia while talking to media persons.

Other highlights:

  • After being stopped, Sisodia requested the police to convey his message to the PM.
  • Sisodia along with the MLAs was going to the PM’s house to protest and surrender themselves.
