New Delhi: Comedian Munawar Farooqui has received a huge relief from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has approved the bail of Munawar Faruqui during the hearing on Friday after his bail plea was rejected from the Indore bench of the High Court.

Comedian Munawar gets interim bail:

Along with this, the Supreme Court has issued a notice to the state government seeking an answer in this matter. Let me tell you that Munawar Faruqui has been accused of making objectionable remarks on Hindu deities and other leaders including Union Home Minister Amit Shah in a comedy show. After this, he was arrested.

Faruqui was in jail for about a month:

Comedian Munawar Faruqui was lodged in the Central Jail for the last one month. He had applied for bail in the Indore District Court and High Court. But his bail plea was rejected in both the courts. In this case, advocate Vivek Tankha and Anshuman Srivastava are fighting the case on behalf of Munawar Faruqui . He said that such indecent remarks were not made by Munawar Faruqui in Indore. But, the court did not agree.

Let me tell you that the disputed standup comedian Munnwar Faruqui of Gujarat was called in the Munro Cafe located in Indore on New Year. As soon as the information was received, the leaders of the Hindu organization had joined the show by taking tickets on the basis of provoking religious sentiments on their YouTube and the comedy on Hinduism.

As soon as the show started, the leaders of the Hindu organization Hind Rakshak beat up all the artists, including comedian Munawar, and brought them to the police station. After this, all were sent to jail.
