Protest against Farm Bills: Tractor set on Fire at India Gate in Delhi

New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind also approved the amended Agriculture Ordinance 2020 of the Modi government on the previous day after the Agriculture Bill was passed by both the Houses of Parliament during a heavy uproar in the monsoon session. The opposition had appealed to the President about this, while farmers across the country are opposing the bill, after all, angry Congress workers were set on fire by a tractor at Rajpath in Delhi today.

Protest against Farm Bills:

The opposition of farmers and opposition parties did not stop when the Modi government brought the Agriculture Act. After the Rail Stop campaign and Bharat Bandh, Congress workers in Delhi today took to the road and staged a massive protest.

Angry activists set fire to a tractor in Rajpath in the national capital, protesting against the agricultural bill.

Youth Congress activists set tractor on fire:

In fact, this morning, Congress workers reached Rajpath with a tractor and near India Gate, they set the tractor on fire, protesting against the Agriculture Bill. However, the traffic police and fire brigade rushed to the spot immediately and the fire was controlled.

Seeing the police, the Congress workers escaped from the spot. Police has started investigation in this matter. Through CCTV, people are being identified who set fire to the middle road in the tractor.

President also passed the bill:

Significantly, the agriculture related bills brought in the monsoon session, the Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Price Assurance and Agreements Bill 2020 on Agricultural Services and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill, -2020. And Rajya Sabha has got approval from both houses. Now the President has also given them the green signal.
