New Delhi: Major blow for the parents of deceased actress Pratyusha Banerjee as the Supreme Court, on Monday, has denied cancellation of anticipatory bail granted to Rahul Raj Singh in former’s suicide case.

A plea was filed by the Pratyusha’s parents seeking the cancellation of anticipatory bail issued to her boyfriend Rahul Raj, who has been accused of abetment to suicide. The plea mentioned that Rahul would tamper the evidences if remained out of jail.

Meanwhile, the Apex Court found no such point which was strong enough to cancel Rahul’s bail plea.

Balika Vadhu fame actress Pratyusha Banerjee committed suicide on April 1 by hanging herself inside her flat in suburban Goregaon. Her family and friends believe that her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh killed her.

Rahul was booked for abetment to suicide on April 5, and received anticipatory bail.
