Lucknow: The public-private- participation or, what is better known as PPP model, has been successfully implemented by the Uttar Pradesh government.

In fact, if government officials are to be believed, this model has been more successfully tried by the state than the industrially advanced states of Gujarat and Maharashtra.

In view of the success the government has asked officials to invite more private parties to invest in the state. Under this scheme the emphasis is being laid on development of infrastructure like road and bridges. For industrial growth better infrastructure is a must.

In addition to infrastructure, the government is rightly stressing on Information Technology industry. It has planned, in addition to IT city, an IT park in Gomati Nagar area of the state capital.

The park will be spread over 15000 square meters. Work has begun in right earnest on the project. For the IT city the government has already earmarked a sum of Rs 1500 crores.
