Poll results show people will not tolerate corruption: PM Modi
New Delhi: Lauding the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers for the party's commendable performance in the parliamentary, assembly and local polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the positive results clearly reflect that people of the country support all-round progress and will not tolerate corruption and misgovernance at any cost.

BJP successfully conquered one Lok Sabha seat each in Assam and Madhya Pradesh apart from winning several assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Arunachal Pradesh.
The party also registered victory in local bodies elections in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
He also expressed gratitude towards people of his home state Gujarat for keeping their faith in the BJP.

He congratulated Gujarat party workers along with Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and state BJP chief Jitu Vaghani for their dedication and hard work.
Earlier on Monday, Modi praised the party's performance in local bodies elections in Maharashtra.
