New Delhi: The central government has taken a big decision amid Corona vaccination in the country. Pulse polio vaccination campaign has been postponed starting this month. Under this, polio drops are given to children in the age group of 0-5 years.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed that due to unforeseen activities, it has been decided to postpone the polio national immunization day starting from 17 January 2021 until further notice.

Vaccination Program extended:

The Union Health Ministry, through a letter on 9 January, informed all states and Union Territories about the decision to postpone the national polio campaign. Earlier, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Harsh Vardhan had said on 8 January that polio vaccination would be done on 17 January.

According to the information, Corona vaccination is going to start in the country from January 16. It is believed that this decision has been taken in view of the severity of corona virus.
