Srinagar/Jammu: Almost a week after the Uri terror attack, the Indian security forces announced to have arrested two men working for a Pakistani terror outfit from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).

“Our security forces have detained two PoK residents who have been helping the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militants to infiltrate into the Indian valley,” said a senior Indian Army official.

The perpetrators were detained in a joint operation by the Indian Army and Border Security force (BSF) near the Line of Control (LoC) on September 21 last. They have been identified as Ahasan Kursheed and Faisal Hussain Awan. They were recruited by JeM two years ago.

Moreover, they are believed to have aided the militants who launched an attack on an army headquarters in Jammu and Kashmir’s Uri sector on Sunday last. It may be recalled that as many as 18 soldiers were killed in the attack.
