New Delhi: The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) will be deciding whether to release the video of surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) on September 28 last.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the only one to decide whether to make the footage public or not. Moreover, it is unfortunate to politicise this issue and the opposition parties should realize the same,” said Minister of State for Home Affairs Hansraj Ahir.

It may be recalled the Indian Army has claimed to have caught the surgical strikes against Pakistan on camera and the release of its video is nowadays a heated debate as the country has been refusing to accept any such action by India on its soil. They (Pak), however, accept to have lost two of their soldiers in cross-border firing calling it a 'ceasefire violation' by the Indian troops.

Several opposition leaders have been insisting on making the video public in order to expose the neighbouring country. The parties demanding to make the video public include Congress as well as the Aam Admi Party (AAP).
