PM Narendra Modi to flag off 100th Kisan Rail Today
PM Modi will flag off Kisan Rail at 4:30 pm this evening, which will go from Sangola in Maharashtra to Shalimar in West Bengal.
New Delhi: The 100th Kisan Rail will be started on Monday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off it at 4:30 pm this evening, which will go from Sangola in Maharashtra to Shalimar in West Bengal. The event will be conducted through video conferencing.
Train from Maharashtra to West Bengal:
According to information received from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the multi-commodity train service will carry vegetables like cauliflower, capsicum, cabbage, drumstick, chilli, onion as well as grapes, oranges, pomegranates, bananas, custard apples etc.

PM Modi to falg off Kisan Rail:
During this time, the train will be allowed to stop along the way and loading and unloading of eligible items. The Government of India has given a subsidy of 50 percent on the transportation of fruits and vegetables. Explain that on August 7 this year, the first farmer rail from Devlali to Danapur was started, which was extended to Muzaffarpur. Its frequency was also increased from one week a week to three days a week.

Kisan Rail has proved to be a 'game-changer' in ensuring 'rapid transportation of agricultural produce' across the country. Apart from this, PM Modi will also inaugurate India's first driverless train operation on Delhi Metro's Magenta Line (Janakpuri West-Botanical Garden) at 11 am on Monday through video conferencing.
DMRC had been trialling the driverless metro train for the last 3 years. Let me tell you, the first trial of this train took place in September 2017. There are many special things in this train. This driverless train will have 6 coaches. Many advanced techniques have been used in this. The speed of this train will be maximum 95 kilometers per hour. Which will cover a speed of 85 kilometers per hour.
