New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing the countrymen through 'Mann Ki Baat' program at 11 am today. PM Modi discussed the language in the program. He said, 14 languages are such that people do in their everyday life. Under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, youth can make videos of popular songs of Indian languages in their own way.

Mann Ki Baat:

Just as our life is shaped by our mother, in the same way, our mother tongue also shapes our lives. India is so rich in languages that it cannot be compared. We should be proud of our diverse languages. Even after 75 years of independence, some people are living in such mental conflict, due to which they have a hesitation about their language, their dress, their food and drink, whereas, there is no such thing anywhere else in the world.

Festivals are approaching with Shivratri, Holi in the pipeline.I urge everyone to abide by 'Vocal for Local' and celebrate festivals by purchasing from local markets. Celebrate these festivals with fervour but don't forget to stay cautious too says PM Modi in Mann Ki Baat.

The Prime Minister further said, Tamil is the oldest language in the world and every Indian should be proud of the fact that we have such a huge heritage of the world. In the same way, as many ancient scriptures are there, their expression is also in our Sanskrit language. PM Modi said that we have brought the valuable heritage of India from Italy. It is a matter of great pleasure for me, millions of people around the world are using Ayurveda. There is definitely a need to take inspiration from the people working in this field.

This will be the 86th episode of this monthly radio programme. On February 13, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had sought people's views and suggestions for the telecast of this month's 'Mann Ki Baat'.
