New Delhi: From today, people of Delhi will be able to travel in a metro train without driver. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag the country's first unmanned metro train on December 28, that is today. This train will be a part of Delhi Metro. The journey of the first day of this train will be 37 kilometers.

First ever driverless metro train:

Actually, Delhi Metro is expanding its rail network in Delhi-NCR. Where is the PMO statement that the driverless train will be fully automatic and will eliminate the possibility of human error. The first driverless train will run on the Magenta Line and Magenta Line of the Delhi Metro.

In the first phase, a distance of 37 kilometers will run on the Magenta Line between Janakpuri West to the Botanical Garden metro station of Noida. After this, in the New Year 2021, there are plans to run a driverless metro up to 57 kilometers in the Pink Line. Which will cover the distance from Majlis Park to Shiv Vihar.

DMRC had been trialling the driverless metro train for the last 3 years. Let me tell you, the first trial of this train took place in September 2017. There are many special things in this train. This driverless train will have 6 coaches. Many advanced techniques have been used in this. The speed of this train will be maximum 95 kilometers per hour. Which will cover a speed of 85 kilometers per hour.

In a driverless train, 2,280 passengers can travel once. In which each coach can carry 380 passengers. PM Modi will also issue National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) on December 28 for traveling on the Airport Express Line of Delhi Metro.
