On Wednesday, in a non-military aerial combat an Indian fighter jet was struck down by Pakistan when it was chasing away PAF jet from Indian Air Space, it was then when IAF pilot, Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, was captured by pak military.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday, will chair Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting to strategies the moves to bring back Indian Air Force Commander, Abhinandan Varthaman and to take stock of the situation as tension mounts between India and Pakistan, according to a source.

A Union Cabinet meeting is also slated for 6.30 p.m. Both meetings are scheduled to take place at the Prime Minister's residence.

A video from Islamabad was also uploaded on social media of an interview with Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.

Following the appalling Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama terror attack of February 14, India carried out a second surgical strike on Pakistan, targeting terror training camps situated in the country. After which tension escalated between the two countries and to answer India’s attack, Pakistan had sent its F-16’s in the Indian territory, violating Indian airspace. However, Pak’s F-16 was struck down by Indian Fighter jet, while, the other two were sent back.
