 New Delhi: Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina are going to attend the Digital Summit on Thursday. During this time, there are likely to be many agreements between the heads of the two countries related to different areas.

The strategic talks between the Prime Ministers of the two countries will inaugurate projects ranging from connectivity to business and economic cooperation.

Digital summit today

After completing 50 years of victory in 1971 war with Pakistan and Bangladesh coming into existence, Delhi and Dhaka will form a new roadmap of their partnership today. There is to be a digital summit between the heads of the two countries today. PM Modi and Sheikh Hasina will also inaugurate the Haldibari-Chilhati rail link during the summit talks.

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen also informed about the agreements between the two countries. Bangladesh Foreign Ministry officials had also told that four MoUs will be signed between the two sides.

During the India-Bangladesh summit, they will discuss plans for cultural and historical ties to new connectivity and economic partnership. Also, in same time, all the railway projects prior to 1965 between the two countries will start working by 2022. At the summit, the two Prime Ministers will flag off the Haldibari-Chilhati rail link. The work of the Akhura-Agartala rail link connecting Tripura to Bangladesh in the northeast will also be reviewed by 2021.

According to the information, about nine MoUs are likely to be signed in different areas during the digital meeting. But these have not been finalized yet because they are still working on it.
