New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday dedicated the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) to the nation. PM Modi virtually inaugurated the 351 km long rail section New Khurja to New Bhaupur Dedicated Freight Corridor.

Apart from this, the Prime Minister also inaugurated the operation control center of EDFC at Subedarganj, Prayagraj.

PM Modi inaugurates Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor:

This control room is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. The entire corridor can be monitored from here. The signal placed every two kilometers will be known. Also, every kilometer location will be available to the control room. This will be the first time in the country that the train will appear live on the screen in the control room.

The largest modern railway project: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his address during this time that today is going to give new identity to the Railways. The largest modern railway project since independence has landed.

The roar of the new India was heard in this new freight train. The technology of this entire freight and center has been prepared by the people here in India.

PM Modi said that today India is becoming a major economic force of the world. In the last 6 years, work is being done on the modern connectivity front in India.

The country's farm-markets are dependent on freight, goods have to be transported from one place to another. As the population increased, the burden started increasing, we had passenger-freight trains used to run on a track.

Due to which both trains were late. Due to the late freight train, the cost increases, but now the special track will overcome this crisis.
