A petrol bomb was hurled by an unidentified person near the protest site at Shaheen Bagh on Sunday where women have been on a sit-in for over three months against the newly amended citizenship act, police said.
New Delhi: A petrol bomb was hurled by an unidentified person near the protest site at Shaheen Bagh on Sunday where women have been on a sit-in for over three months against the newly amended citizenship act, police said.
No injuries have been reported. The incident took place at around 9.30 am, they said. A police team has found five-six petrol-filled bottles at the site.
Pictures from the site are viral on social media.
When this incident took place, very less people were present in Shaheen Bagh.

Coronavirus has been confirmed in a protester against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Shaheenbagh. This man's sister, a resident of Jahangirpuri, has come from Saudi Arabia this month, who has been found infected.
The transition to the protester extends from his sister. This protester was involved in a protest against the CAA in Shaheen Bagh recently. According to the person, he never visited Shaheen Bagh again after 9 February.
