Pakistan hacks Karnataka Police website

Bengaluru: A Pakistani flag had been placed on the home page of the official website of the Karnataka police department i.e www.ksp.gov.in, after being hacked by Pakistani hackers, on Friday.

The incident was no less than any embarrassment for the state government.

A police official said-

• Our cyber security engineers restored the web site after removing the tampered home page.
• They have repaired the fault within minutes after detecting the hacking.
• An inquiry has been ordered into hacking and investigation is underway to track the IP address of the hackers, who claimed to be operating from Pakistan.

A Pakistani flag was pasted with a message, which read “Pwned! Hacked, shame on your security!”
