Pakistan claims Kulbhushan Jadhav refuses to file review petition

Pakistan has now filed a new claim in the Indian Navy's Retired Officer Kulbhushan Jadhav case in Pakistan Jail. Pakistan's Additional Attorney General says that Pakistan had invited Indian citizen Kulbhushan Jadhav on 17 June 2020 to file a petition to reconsider his sentence and sentence.

Islamabad: Pakistan has now filed a new claim in the Indian Navy's Retired Officer Kulbhushan Jadhav case in Pakistan Jail. Pakistan's Additional Attorney General says that Pakistan had invited Indian citizen Kulbhushan Jadhav on 17 June 2020 to file a petition to reconsider his sentence and sentence.

In this case, he claimed that Kulbhushan Jadhav, exercising his legal authority, refused to file a review petition on the sentence.

“In the first round, he met his mother and wife and now we have offered to let him meet his father and wife,” Additional Attorney General Ahmed Irfan said in a press conference on Wednesday.

Pakistan claims that Jadhav refused review petition:

Also, according to reports in Pakistan media, Pakistan says that he preferred to follow his pending mercy petition instead. At the same time, Pakistan has also offered to give him second counselor access.

“On June 17 we invited Jadhav to file a petition for the reconsideration of his conviction and offered him legal representation but he refused to file the petition and instead preferred to follow up on his pending mercy petition,” said Irfan Khan.

Pakistan military court sentenced 49-year-old Kulbhushan Jadhav to death in April 2017 on charges of espionage and terrorism.

On which India challenged the decision of Kulbhushan Jadhav in ICJ and Pakistan's decision not to allow diplomatic access. However, India won the ICJ.

The ICJ had also ordered Pakistan to review Kulbhushan Jadhav's sentence and give him counselor access at the earliest. Right now Pakistan is now seen plotting a new conspiracy.
